IQD 51 Billion Recovered for Rafidain Bank

The Al-Rusafa Investigation Court, which specializes in integrity and money laundering cases, announced the recovery of IQD 51 billion for Rafidain Bank.
The court stated that the recovery was linked to cases involving financial and administrative corruption, noting that investigations and judicial proceedings resulted in the recovery of the funds.
The court confirmed that legal proceedings against those involved in the violations are continuing, along with efforts to trace funds obtained or transferred through unlawful means.
The recovery of public funds is an important component of efforts to protect Iraq’s banking sector, particularly state-owned banks, which manage a significant share of government accounts and financial transactions.
Such measures also contribute to strengthening oversight of credit and public spending and reducing the misuse of bank accounts for corruption or money laundering activities.
